Metromotion  Controls

Metromotion Controls was established in 2012 to provide electrical design and automation services for metromotion projects.  This arrangement provides metromotion with a dedicated service to support projects when clients do not have a preferred automation supplier.  Metromotion Controls operates independently and provides power distribution, motor control, process control, PLC and SCADA design & programming services  to the wider food industry.  For further information about Metromotion Controls call Andrew Sprigg on 0403556918 or visit www.metromotioncontrols.com.au.

CAD Design

At metromotion we have full in house CAD facilities with a team of experienced and qualified draftspeople and designers. Primarily working in AutoCAD we can provide 2D and 3D drawings to suit any project. Some examples include:

P&ID

Process and instrumentation drawings are the essential first step to any process design project. We have developed a system including coloured layers and a customised symbol library which makes our P&ID’s quicker to create and much easier to follow than traditional monochrome styles.

Layout Drawings

Plant and equipment layout drawings give our clients the ‘big picture’ of how everything will look. We work with the customer to ensure that they get a layout that is both functional and cost effective for their intended process. Metromotion will work with the appropriate land and building authorities to develop detailed layout drawings for the building approval process.

Detailed Drawings

Metromotion has in the past developed detailed design solutions, to solve some of the more complex and unique issues that can come up when working on customer’s project.

3D Visualisations

3D visualisation of P&ID’s and equipment layouts give our customers the ability to ensure that the installation is smooth and happens as fast as possible with no unforseen installation space issues.

Packaging Systems

Metromotion was originally formed to provide a specialist packaging systems project management service for FMCG projects.  The business has grown since then to encompass a broader design and project management capability but delivery of the packaging component of projects has always remained a core part of our capability.
Given this history we have extensive experience in all aspects of packaging lines in the Food industry and have built up a broad knowledge base in regards to supplier of equipment in all segments.  We maintain this knowledge base through regular attendance at the major packaging equipment exhibitions around the world, including Interpack in Germany and PackExpo in Chicago.
